Jacquelyn Elegen Manongdo, an alumna of Union Christian College, Batch 2005 was recognized as the "Most Outstanding Teacher" among 11 teachers in Kinder 2 at Sarasas Witaed Romklao School in Latkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand.

 

A team of evaluators headed by the foreign teacher coordinator conducts the evaluation every semester among all the teachers, 115 whom are Filipinos. The school has a population of 4,000 students from K1 to Grade 10.

 

The recognition as Outstanding Teacher was given to Manongdo 2nd Semester during the first round of evaluation. According to the awardee, the recipients of recognition are given salary increases and their names published in the school's newsletter.

 

Manongdo finished her Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Early CHildhood Education in 2005. She left for Thailand in 2006 and after passing the Test of English language for International Communication, she obtained her Teacher's License. BEfore her present job, she worked as part-time teacher in Trimbundt School at Mathayom School in Thailand.

 

Manongdo married to Edgardo Manongdo, former principal of Caba Elementary School now lives in Thailand with their two children.
