The UCC Graduate Program

The main thrust of higher education is to achieve equity, efficiency, and quality of education in all the institutions of higher learning in order to meet national as well as global development needs.

Along this vein, the basic direction of Union Christian College in its attempt to contribute to this main thrust of higher education is its continuing quest for excellence in its educational life and ministry. The Master of Arts in Education is a graduate degree that specializes in innovative teaching skills, methods, and strategies  necessary for an effective teaching and learning; covers relevance and responsiveness of the curriculum to present day realities and situations; the "how of teaching" and eventually prepares teachers to become master teachers.

Objectives

To complement the UCC Mission and Objectives, the Graduate Program specifically aims:

1. To develop competence and leadership in the student's chosen field, in research, and in the communication of research results;

2. To develop world class Christian leaders not onlu in education but in other fields for the achievement of regional, national, and global goals;

3. To produce graduates who can function fully, effectively, and intelligently not only for personal commitments but for professional growth and development.
